Aims and outcomes
The program aims to prepare graduates for a career in the science and technology of sustainable energies. It is highly interdisciplinary and covers various areas in renewable energy science and technologies, energy management, environmental monitoring as well as social studies.
The curriculum provides students with theoretical knowledge and a broad exposure in the topics of energy harvesting, storage, conservation and energy economics. It also provides hands-on training experience through various projects and experiments in environment monitoring, low-carbon technology, wave energy harvesting, automated solar tracker, photovoltaic devices, solid-state lighting, and many others. The program also actively seeks internship opportunities in relevant industries, research institutions, organizations and the existing local/international links to our students to make them more competitive in their career endeavor.
