1. HK Jockey Club

Internship period: Jun - Aug 2019 (59 days)

Remuneration: $7,500 (All-in)

Work hour (Office Hour): Monday - Friday (8:30a.m. - 6:18p.m.)

Work location:
• Happy Valley Headquarters; or
• Happy Valley Racecourse Office; or • Sha Tin Racecourse Office

Job Descriptions:
• Assist in routine general office administrative supports for facilities services and engineering teams.
• Support pre-raceday preparations and follow up ad hoc tasks/ projects as assigned.

Job Requirements:
• Students are currently studying in degree in Property Management, Engineering or related disciplines.
• Good analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong self-motivation and eagerness to learn
• Good knowledge of MS office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

HK Electric offers an internship post to us. The vacant in Customer Business Support Department (under Customer Services) will be suitable for students who will be involved in energy saving related projects. The candidate’s background and interview performance would also be considered to make the final decision. Successful candidate(s) will undergo 8 weeks (from 2 July 2019 to 26 August 2019) training. 3. The Hong Kong Observatory (HKO)
Hong Kong Observatory Summer Placement Programme 2019

The Hong Kong Observatory (HKO) plans to offer a summer placement programme for university post-graduates or undergraduates studying Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Earth System Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Communication and Journalism, Digital Creative Media or related disciplines.

The programme aims to provide training opportunities to students to gain work experience and apply their academic knowledge to solve problems in the real world. An intern student will work on a project under the supervision of a mentor from the Observatory for 8 weeks during this summer. Scholarship will be awarded to those students who have successfully enrolled in the Programme (see Annex I). The following documents are attached herewith:

(a) Annex I – Details of the Summer Placement Programme 2019; and
(b) Annex II – Project specifications

I should be grateful if you would announce the HKO Summer Placement Programme to your university students. Interested students are required to apply online by noon *15 April 2019* (Monday). An agreement will be signed between the Hong Kong Observatory and the University/Institution for successful application of the University/Institution student.
