Smart materials have great potential for sustainable applications and green technologies due to their unique environmental response characteristics. By abruptly changing their optical, electrical, and thermal properties upon receiving external stimuli such as temperature change, light irradiation, and electrical signals, smart materials are widely used for thermal management, sunlight modulation, and environmental sensing. Our research group is focused on the development of new-generation smart materials for sustainable applications. In particular, we aim to understand the structure-property correlation of smart materials, optimise their performance, and promote their applications with state-of-the-art techniques.
