Organic semiconductors have revolutionized the small/medium display market and are enabling emerging applications such as bioelectronics, thermoelectrics and photodetectors due to their biocompatibility, excellent optical properties and low temperature processability with low carbon footprint. Our research group is focused on developing new device concepts based on organic semiconductors for a range of emerging applications from thermoelectric modules, sustainable electronics and bioelectronics. In addition, we are interested in studying the charge transport physics in novel semiconductor materials using various state of the art electrical and optical characterization techniques for further optimization of the semiconductor material properties by tailoring their material composition and controlling their structure with innovative methods.
