Congratulations to two Physics students’ outstanding performance at the 3MT Speech Competition Grand Final

We would like to express our sincere congratulations to Wong, Ka Lai and Fu, Ruiqi for their wonderful performance at the three-minute-thesis (3MT) speech competition this year.

The 3MT competition, developed by The University of Queensland (UQ) in Australia in 2008 for postgraduate research students, which requiring students to explain their research in language appropriate to a non-specialist audience within three minutes, this special type of speech helps research students improve their academic communication skills.

This year, Wong, Ka Lai and Fu, Ruiqi from our PHYS department entered the final round of the competition and won the first place and the third place respectively in the Grand Final on 12 May (receiving a research travel grant of HKD 8,000 and HKD 4,000 HKD respectively).
