Prof Cheah Kok Wai being elected as a fellow of the International Association of Advanced Materials (IAAM)

We are honoured to announce that Prof. Cheah Kok Wai, Professor Emeritus of the Department of Physics, has been elected as a Fellow of the International Association of Advanced Materials (IAAM). This award recognizes his worthy contributions in the area of "Nanophotonics".

Prof. Cheah was invited by IAAM to deliver his IAAM Fellow Lecture, which was titled "Symmetry breaking in coupled nano-cavities” in European Advanced Materials Congress, held in Stockholm, Sweden in late August 2025. This is Prof. Cheah’s second awards; he was elected as Fellow of Institute of Physics, UK, in 2013.
