Two Physics Members Engage in the talk “Networked Brain: Complex Systems Approach to Cognition and Mental Health” Co-organized by the Faculty of Science and Alumni Affairs Office
Two Physics members Professor Changsong ZHOU and Dr Martin MA were invited to the talk “Networked Brain: Complex Systems Approach to Cognition and Mental Health”, which is co-organized by the Faculty of Science and Alumni Affairs Office. This talk of the series was successfully held on 12 February 2025 (Wednesday) at Madam Kwok Chung Bo Fun Sports and Cultural Centre (SCC201), Shaw Campus, attracting over 220 registrants including students, alumni and guests.

The talk featured Professor Changsong ZHOU, Chair Professor in Physics and Complex Systems in the Department of Physics, as the keynote speaker. Prof Zhou gave an enlightening sharing on the topic, “Networked Brain: Complex Systems Approach to Cognition and Mental Health”. In his sharing, Prof Zhou delved deep into the complexity of the human brain, and showed how his transdisciplinary research explores the interrelationship between brain network activity, cognition and diseases.

Following Prof Zhou’s presentation, Dr Martin MA (Green Energy Science), Programme Director of BSc in Green Energy and Smart Technology and Lecturer in the Department of Physics exchanged his insightful views on the topic with Prof Changsong Zhou during the sharing session.
