Literature review: current development of perovskite solar cells (3/6 units)

Perovskite solar cells (PSCs) are a rising star on the field of photovoltaics, and recently it has been demonstrated in the lab to achieve high power conversion efficiency (PCE) towards 25%. However, the practical application of PSCs will be severely limited by, e.g., mechanic robustness, environmental stability, mass production, cost and lead-related toxicity.

In this project, you will review literatures to investigate the fabrication of perovskite materials, PSC assembly, strategies to enhance photovoltaic performance and stability, photovoltaic degradation mechanism, and flexible PSCs. If experimental conditions are permitted, you may fabricate and assemble rigid and flexible PSCs to study their photovoltaic performance, mechanic robustness and environmental stability.
