We are proud to announce that Professor Shu-Jen Wang (Department of Physics, HKBU) has been awarded RMB 3 million, the maximum funding provided from the Shenzhen-Hong Kong-Macau Science and Technology Plan Project (Category C). His project “Fully printed high-performance n-type organic electrochemical transistors (OECT) for pathogen detection” aims to develop novel printable n type OECT materials and device integration strategies to realize high performance biosensors for portable and wearable applications. 

Professor Wang’s main research interests center around on organic semiconductors and their applications in healthcare and energy applications. His research findings have been published in top-tier international journals including Nature, Nature Electronics, Science Advances, and Advanced Functional Materials.

The Shenzhen-Hong Kong-Macau Science and Technology Plan Project is coordinated by the Shenzhen Science and Technology Innovation Commission (SZSTI). Each year, SZTIC awards up to 20 projects led by research institutions in Hong Kong and Macau SAR. Shenzhen-Hong Kong-Macau Science and Technology Plan Project (Category C) aims to support the city’s innovation capacity in areas of strategic importance.
