Professor Zhou Receives HK$1.8 Million Funding to Nurture Computational Neuroscience Talent

Professor ZHOU Changsong of the Department of Physics, HKBU, has been selected for funding under the Croucher Summer Course 2027. The funding will support the organisation of the Croucher Summer Course in Computational Neuroscience, which aims to equip early career researchers with integrated quantitative modelling and neural data analysis skills, while catalysing new local and international collaborations. 

The course has been awarded a total funding amount of HK$1,800,000, to be disbursed in three instalments of HK$600,000 each in the years 2027, 2029 and 2031, with the project spanning a duration of six years. 

This funding recognises Professor Zhou’s standing in the field of computational neuroscience and his commitment to nurturing the next generation of researchers. Department of Physics extends its warmest congratulations to Professor Zhou on this notable achievement.
