02/06/2022 Outreach STEM Activities: Workshop on Building Materials for Energy Efficiency Improvement

Story: The workshop on Building Materials for Energy Efficiency Improvement was conducted on 02/06/2022. This workshop aims at distributing the 4-channel spectrometer (one of the STEM educational kits developed by the Department of Physics) and applying the spectrometer for determining the light transmissions at 4 different wavelength channels, namely, ultraviolet, green, red, and infrared channels. The results of light transmission data are then used to evaluate commercial sun control films for building energy saving. The number of participations were 30 school teachers.
